A day that begins in the water and ends at the table

Nestled beneath the dramatic cliffs overlooking the Faraglioni, where Via Krupp meets the sea, the renowned Torre Saracena Beach Club sits on one of Capri’s most secluded bays. You come down in the morning, you swim, the day slows. By the time lunch arrives, you have forgotten what you had planned.

One hundred and twenty years

The same bay, the same table, for a hundred and twenty years

Torre Saracena opened on this stretch of Marina Piccola in 1906. It has been welcoming guests to the same rocks, under the same tower, ever since. In 2026 it marks its hundred and twentieth season.

A short chronology

How the club came to be here

16th century

A watchtower is raised above the bay to warn of Saracen and Ottoman raids. It still stands, and it gives the club its name.

1906

Torre Saracena opens beneath the cliffs, on one of the most sheltered bays on the island.

The Cerio family

Both the beach club and the estate above it trace their heritage to the Cerio family, whose architecture shaped much of Capri.

2026

The hundred and twentieth season, under the same tower and on the same rocks.
